The Brown Insurance Agency was formed in Alexandria, Indiana in 1949 by Herman Brown. In 1983 the agency was taken over by Lon Brown, Herman's son. Since that time, the agency has opened offices in Anderson and formed associations with the Fearrin Insurance Agency in Carmel, Fisher-Hunter and Associates in Noblesville and the Key-Henson Insurance in Brownsburg. In 1999, the Brown Insurance Group was listed by the Indianapolis Business Journal as one of the top 25 largest insurance agencies in the Indianapolis area. The Brown Insurance Agency has served the needs of its clients for almost sixty years. We are an independent agency, which means we don't work for the insurance company... we work for you.
